Every passionate entrepreneur is as crazy and original as any other artist, whether a musician, writer, or actor. And in his career, he takes as many risks, or even greater. How often does an entrepreneur have no other way to put his idea to the test than by committing all his capital and other resources? As the entrepreneur matures, he finds more suitable ways to manage risks. Unfortunately, that knowledge comes with expensive experiences in most cases.

It's entrepreneurs' resilience that sets them apart. Their passion fuels them to rise time after time, failure after failure. Each setback only sharpens their skills and motivates them to try again, better. Many entrepreneurs have pursued education in their field, and if they're fortunate, they can apply that knowledge to their ventures.

Most entrepreneurs face multiple failures and experience various forms of bankruptcy, be it financial, emotional, or relational. It's a familiar story to many. Of course, they would give anything to avoid such hardships. But they don't give up. They rebuild their reality time and time again.

Therefore, after several years of successes and failures as an entrepreneur, I want to share what led me to overcome many of the setbacks I faced. In short, my biggest mistakes revolved around not surrounding myself with the right people in my endeavors or trying to do it all alone. Therefore, if that was the disease, what was the cure?

Finding this cure was not easy. The pandemic had to come and force me to reflect on my entire journey and assess whether I was lacking some knowledge. Ultimately, I opted to pursue a certificate programme in Project Management offered by Google through the Coursera.org educational platform. I thoroughly recommend it to everyone committed to their passion as entrepreneurs.

This journey of learning filled significant gaps in my knowledge. Entrepreneurs are dedicated to turning ideas into reality, and that's where Project Management comes in. Understanding and mastering this discipline, along with the tools that facilitate its execution, transforms a passionate entrepreneur into a professional.

If this programme had been recommended early in my professional career, I would probably not have done it. Suddenly, someone told me, but I was so full of energy and passion and convinced that I already had enough to go for the venture of the moment. Well, I did not achieve as expected. Some entrepreneurs achieve and do not know why; others do not succeed and do not know why. Project Management helps to solve that "why" question in both cases.

And yes, if I had had the clarity that I have now on the subject, a lot of money would have been saved, and a lot of pain would have been avoided. But it is what it is, making it tremendously interesting and fun. Making your life an incredible journey full of memorable moments is one of the definitions of wealth.
